Casey started Chemical Guidance as he saw a need for specialist scientific knowledge in smaller organsiations that was approachable, reliable and affordable. While completing his undergraduate degree in Chemistry, Casey became a volunteer fire fighter, which he continued while completing his PhD. This ignited his passion for chemical emergency management and prevention. Casey has held teaching roles at the University of Otago and guest lectured at the University of Waikato teaching risk management and chemical safety.

• Postgraduate Diploma in Health Sciences with Distinction in Occupational Health and Safety (Massey)

• Bachelor of Sciences with Honours in Chemistry (Otago)
